Dear Cathie, Mr. B and The Boys, I just want to tell you that I love you all very much and wish everything good for you in your lives. You will be greatly missed, but I think your decision to move into this new phase was a wise one. It was time. I enjoyed every minute. Bless you all, and especially bless dear Fredcat, who started it all. He will live in my heart forever. Love, Susan in Carrboro

Cathie, Mr B, Frankie and Farley, We are saddened to read the last diary entry but do understand it can not go on forever. We will miss hearing about Frankie and Farley’s adventures and ‘watch’ them grow up. Best of luck to all of you. Sox and Susie

Hello, Frankie, Farley, Cathie and Mr. B., Oh, no! We will certainly miss you all. We do understand the need to move on, though. Please drop a line now and then so we can see those little guys grown up into gorgeous strong mancats. Take care and fare well, Kate and Toby

I must say that I am so sorry to hear the news. The best part of my day, besides coming home to my "children" is turning on my computer and checking out the diary and learning of everyone's adventures. How I will miss you all! You have all become an important part of my day. I will really miss reading about you and watching Frankie and Farley grow and becoming the fine, handsome cats they will become. Cathie and Mr. B are part of my family too. I will think of you all and miss you. Best wishes to you all! I hope someday to get an email that says you have started a new diary and want all your old friends to come back. Much love to Frankie and Farley from LittleBit, Snoopy, Skeeter, and Sharon!

Congrats on the 1,000 entry in the famous diary! That is a lot of words! I miss hearing about FredCat, but the two antics of Frankie and Farley are quite refreshing! My dog Lily will never admit it openly, but she even finds the diary quite entertaining. Keep up the good work and keep writing! Linda

Dear Frankie and Farley, I think that was very nice of you to bring all those critters inside for Cathie, but girls don't like things like snakes and bugs! You should have looked for a dog to bring her! She would have liked that much! If I lived closer I would have come over myself and given her a big kiss! I would have even brough her my favorite red ball, so she could throw it for me. She would have liked that much! Just a suggestion for next time. Your Pink Doggie Friend,

Fredcat darling (and family), Today would have been your birthday. I know you are (physically) gone, but believe me, you will be in my heart forever. I am starting out this day feeling sad because I'm missing Fredcat -- and remembering all his wonderful traits and exploits. At 7 tonight, my son Alex is getting married, so that will be an observance of a different (and happy) sort. October 4 will always be a memorable day. lots of love from your friend in L.A.,

Hello Farley and Frankie! We've just been reading your adventures and can't get over how big you both have grown! It's obvious that you two are indulged kitties- which is the way things should be. We're amazed at the photo of the badgers. We thought they were solitary animals. Was the photo taken in the UK? best wishes,

Our Ms. Molly Holly drinks milk several times a week at night. We were told that some cats are lactose intolerant and some can drink it. Like humans. Some kitty tummies can take it some cannot. Molly is the only cat we have that drinks milk, and only when she demands it by saying "" miiilk mmmiiiillllk". Such a lady to wait for it.

Welcome Frankie and Farly to the former Fredcat home. I know you will bring pleasure to Cathie and Mr. B. Be good boys. I will look forward to reading about your adventures. It kind of brings the kitten out in me. I’m going on 12 but I can run and play with the best of them. I am an indoor/outdoor kitty also. Mostly indoor. Sox and her best human Sue.

Dear Frankie & Farley, I'm so glad you are both healthy and happy in your new home! Not only that, but you like having company and don't fuss too much about visiting the vet. (Your predecessor, the magnificent Fredcat, was not amused by his visits to the animal doctor.) From the photographs on your website it's obvious that you are eating well and growing up fast. I enjoy reading about your kitten adventures and the new things you discover, since it's been so long since my kitty Gizmo was that young. Please be sure to do what Cathie and Mr. B tell you: they know all about cat habits, cat language, cat preferences, cat hazards, and cat comforts, after all! And do enjoy your very special visitors. love, your friend Dana & her kitty Gizmo in Los Angeles

Dear Frankie the Famous and Farley the Friendly, I just read a very interesting bit of information that I thought I would like to share with my feline friends. Did you know that group of cats is referred to as a clowder, a male cat is called a tom (or a gib, if neutered), and a female is called a queen. The male progenitor of a cat, especially a pedigreed cat, is its sire, and its female progenitor is its dam. An immature cat is called a kitten. Right now you are both kittens, but what will you be when you grow up? I think a group of dogs is called a pack. My human mom calls me and my dog brothers a pack, but does that mean she is part of it? Best wishes, your pink friend, Daisy

Oh, this is going to be such fun! We are so glad that Cathie has two best feline friends to fill her home and heart! We are sure the two of you will have so many adventures and really keep things interesting. Skeeter, Snoopy, Little Bit, and I are very happy that we will be able to read about and share in your lives. Thanks for coming into our lives!

Greetings to both of you. You don't know me but I was a good friend of Fredcats! He was the coolest cat ever. I just wanted to say hi to both the Fearless and the Friendly! I can't wait to hear from you, I hope that we can be friends too!!! Remember not to use the furniture to sharpen your claws, sometimes humans don't like that, and remember to always purr very loudly, humans like that very much. Since I am a dog and I cannot purr, I like to rumble , it sorta sounds like a purr, sometimes I rumble so much it turns into a bark! Daisy the Pink Dog at http://daisy-the-dog.blogspot.com/

Hi Frankie! I read with much delight of your arrival to your new home. I had to chuckle at your "where is my food bowl" question. One very important question for a pet! My dogs always asked that too when they arrived here at their new home, so I guess that is something that cats and dogs do have in common! You will have a wonderful life, just like FredCat did! Enjoy your forever home with your great humans!

I read your post today about Frankie the Fearless. I think that Thursday is just about right. I know it was about 2 weeks after my predessor, Hootie *RIP* had gone to the bridge that I first nudged my new folks. They had come to the Humane Society 'just to see who was available' and I made sure I made contact with my new Papa and he told my new mommy to come over and look at this one. He just picked me to come home to. The rest is history. I am filling that little hole that is in their hearts. I know I am not a replacement, just another furrbaby to love. Purrs and wishes to your folks too. ps. Please visit me at http://www.catster.com/cats/580770

Smokey says it would be nice for you Cathy to have a friend around again , FRED THE FEARLESS is the answer . FREDCAT I'm sure would agree . Smokey hasn't been to well the past couple off days off his food sleeping a lot . He is 12 years old so old age could be the answer , this morning looked better and did eat some off his favourite food. Tun fish . Were both hoping to hear more about FRED THE FEARLESS .........

Dear Cathie and Mr. B... It was with great interest and excitement that I read the latest post about Frankie The Fearless. He's ever so cute with his little black and white and mischievous face. I do have to say that I don't personally think he's as cute as Freddy was, but of course we all know that Freddy is the first cat that I ever thought was worthy of being called a d*g (and there is a compliment in there). With time, I'm sure that I'd feel the same about Frankie. I also wanted to just give you this bit of advice - follow your heart. You won't be betraying Freddy by opening your home to another rescue kitty. Matter of fact, rescuing another little one may be just the right tribute for Freddy. As you would have only wanted the best for him, believe that he would want the same thing for you. There is more than enough room in our hearts to love many animal children, the same way that parents of human children can love more than one. Have no guilt, whatever your decision. But your home is far too special to not share with a special little one. Regards,

I have been thinking of you and wondering how you and Mr. B were doing. I have really missed Freddy and keep going back to his website just to see him and read all about him and look at his pictures. I am so happy that Fredcat made plans and arranged for you to meet Frankie. I do really believe that our companions know, and send us "someone" special to help ease our sadness and lift our spirits. Somehow, I do believe this is the work of your Freddy. I had a little Calico that we loved and adored so much. When Sissy died, my mom and I did too in many ways. I believe Sissy sent us the little Calico we have now. We are absolutely goofy over Little Bit, and I have no doubt she has a lot of Sissy in her. I am sure your new addition will show a lot of Freddy too.
I hope this means that there will the amazing adventures of Frankie the Fearless for us to read and enjoy. Skeeter, Snoopy, Little Bit and I enjoyed Fredcat the Famous so much, and we do miss him something awful. Much love to you, Mr. B, and Frankie.

Cathie! I am sure you and Mr. B are thoroughly innudated with notes regarding Fredcat and now, the little Frankie the Fearless. I believe that Fredcat has this well planned in advance and bet that the little guy will have MANY of Freddy's traits! I don't think Fredcat is far away at all and will be near you EVERY day. Hope to see pictures of the new little Rascal soon! Love,

How wonderful! If you are ready for a new kitty, then Frankie sounds to be a good choice. He is very cute and sounds as if he's very sweet. I imagine he will grow into a handsome boy. If he does come home with you, he will be a very lucky cat. You will know if it's time. I'm convinced that cats pick us. Keep us posted!

Hello to Fredcat and Frankie's (An absolute sophisticat!) humans, I wanted to let you know of a program offered by the SPCA of Raleigh, NC. It's a pet loss support group: www.spcawake.org/site/PageServer?pagename=Humane_Ed_Pet_Loss_Support_Group Just a thought...I know there was a time I would have liked someone to listen when I lost my little Missy. They all thought I was insane for crying so much over her, but she meant so much to me. On a lighter note, I'm glad to hear of Frankie the Fearless. When you help one, you save two: 1-you help Frankie the Fearless 2-you open up another space to save another cat! I would love to adopt all the lost cats into my home but the two gentlemen of the house (Chopstix and Pippin) have made it quite clear that there is only room for the two of them. Probably best, I would have to quit my job and just love on cats all day otherwise! Not to mention my husband might get a tad jealous...

Cathie, Thank you so much for the email. Mom has gone to the website several times but hadn’t visited it yet today. We know from experience how the loss of your best friend can take what seems like an eternity to get over. Mom still thinks of Tiger, my brother and he has been gone many years. I am so happy you have met Frankie the Fearless. We kitties do communicate with each other. I hope if you bring him home he can help fill your emptiness. No one will replace Fredcat. We are thinking of you….

Dear Cat Lover, Thanks for letting us readers in on the latest news. We miss Fredcat so we can just imagine how much worse you feel.. We understand though as most of us have been through this several times with our beloved pets/family members. I am a canine lover mostly, but I really found myself very interested in FredCat and his daily happenings. Time will heal and I agree that FredCat has plans for you. Please keep us updated on the latest. Every time we have to put a dog down we said no more dogs as the loss is too painful. But every time a new dog came into our lives shortly afterwards. They do not replace the last one, but do help your heart to heal. And their uniquer personality will make you smile once again. Any cat in your home will be one very lucky and special cat! from a dog lover Linda
Linda, Jul 30 2007

------------------------------------------------------------------

Well congratulations on the addition of Frankie. He is not replacing Fredcat in your hearts but rather was sent by Fredcat to fill the emptiness in your house. He is a cutie too just like Fredcat. May he live a nice long FIVE years in your lives.
