Mr. B reckons I have it too good!

Welcome to Fredcat's dancing arena

Fredcat thinking about dancing

Four left feet I suppose, said Mr. B.

OK, all knowledgeable cat lovers know that cats do not dance, at least not like their human slaves with the humans' curious gyrating and randomly jerky patterns they like to call dancing.

Dancing cat

So, Fredcat has recognised the difficulties inherent in dancing with four limbs and, in conjunction with his faithful human, Cathie, has developed an ingenious and quite marvelous dancing routine, which unfortunately (space and time permitting, you understand) is impossible to demonstrate accurately via a modest website like this.

Suffice to say that these two intelligent beings have developed a wonderful routine which first involves Fredcat making his way, in his usual supercilious fashion, onto the lap of Cathie and lying down on his back, gazing at his human friend.

Then Fredcat takes the lead and offers both front paws (Cathie will insist on referring to these as hands) to Cathie's own two hands, and they proceed to dance away. Fredcat's favourite routine is a simple to and fro motion, followed by moving his paws (sorry, hands) sideways, crossing first left over right and then right over left, all in time to a rhythm which only they understand. The tempo is quite quick and all the time Fredcat keeps his eyes firmly directed towards his partner.

During the dance, Cathie sings one of Fredcat's favourite songs which clearly delights our famous feline. Occasionally his paws reach upwards, one after the other, in a salute to the skies and to happiness in general because he is full of joy as his having so much fun.

At the end of the routine, Fredcat takes a bow and regains his poise, clearly ready for the day's sleeping and eating routine which always follows. A cat must keep up his strength you know!

This is little me This is little me!
