I am Fredcat the Famous and I am so cool

Mr. B reckons I have it too good!

Welcome to my traveller's tales page

My travels - and glad to be home at last
The indignity of flying, stuck in a cage!

Why don't you try the zoo instead?, you have all the right equipment, suggested Mr. B.

As far as his human companions are aware Fredcat has simply travelled all over England until he later made the journey to the United States of America. But that is not the full story and if you check out the Fredcat diary in which he recounts his many and varied famous adventures you will discover that he has, indeed, travelled extensively. How this is done remains a secret for now, but all will be revealed in time.

Travelling cat

In the beginning, Fredcat's travels were forced upon him by circumstances. Whenever his human companions decided to move house Fredcat had to decide to either remain in situ or to accept the inconveniences of moving house with his human family. Moving all over the north west of England, then swapping the warmth of the north for the heat of the south, Fredcat travelled to various new houses just to keep his humans company.

In some of these moves he was accompanied by one or two faithful friends but, alas, they proved to be less robust and resilient than was Fredcat and, after demanding adventures in which some lost many of their nine lives, they finally and regretfully fell by the wayside.

Fredcat's worst travel experience was his journey from England to the Unites States of America. Regulations (so demeaning to a famous cat!) meant that Fredcat was denied the adventure of flying direct to his preferred destination in North Carolina but, instead, had to fly to another airport over 100 miles away from his eventual home.

This inconvenience, and its associated lengthy car journey which was required to arrive at our hero's eventual destination, was then put into immediate perspective when Fredcat realised that he would have to suffer the indignity of being housed in a residence with absolutely no cat flaps!

Now Fredcat heartily dislikes travelling by car - and hates even more having to travel in a cat carrier. Don't humans know that sensitive cats need proper transportation? Does not the Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II have access to a golden State Coach? Fredcat bets that her little corgies are treated better than Fredcat was - and Fredcat is independently famous, not just famous by association!

As some of you will discover if you read Fredcat's diary, he has better and more efficient ways of travelling around the globe .....

This is little me This is little me!

Mr. B thinks he isn't that cute at all! - I am so smart!
This is the end of my journeying so back to the start
